Gordon Eilen and I spent our careers helping Fortune 500 and
mid-sized enterprises improve employee performance with the
strategic application of technology. My career began in 1989 arming
warehouse employees with wireless computing solutions and prior to
count5 I was selling multi-million dollar enterprise applications
that drove strategic CRM initiatives.
I’ve been blessed with over 21 years of sales success as a Vice
President, as a Regional Manager and as a road warrior carrying a
bag and quota. Whatever hat I wore, I attribute much of this success
to my adoption of the "less is more" and KISS principals to solving
customer problems.
When solutions target large problems with simplicity, they have a
much greater chance of adoption and success. Unfortunately, it seems
most technology vendors today have replaced these principals with
the philosophy that "more is more".
count5 is a software company that was founded on the belief that
there still can be simple solutions to complex problems. Not all of
your concerns require enterprise applications with complex value
propositions, long implementation cycles and tremendous business
process re-engineering. Don’t get me wrong, there is a time and a
